Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L, D)
Picked up at your hotel at 8.15 Am heading to the northmost province of Ha Giang. The route will lead you through mountainous landscape and striking scenery. Stop over in Tuyen Quang for visits to the 17th century Mac Dynasty Citadel and a market nearby. Have lunch in Tuyen Quang City. After lunch, you’ll head towards a small town in Ha Giang to spend the night in the Thanh Ha Hotel.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Meo Vac (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you’ll visit the small communities of Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Dong Van, some of the most picturesque villages in the northern tip of Vietnam. After lunch, a scenic route will take you to the Ma Pi Leng Pass from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River. You’ll arrive in Meo Vac late in the afternoon where have dinner and get overnight.
Day 3: Meo Vac – Bac Me (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel, take a brief visit to Meo Vac local market. Head to Yen Minh via a different scenic route and then to Bac Me, Ha Giang Province. Your lunch will be served en route at a local restaurant in Quan Ba Town. After lunch, continure following your way to Bac Me. After checking at your hotel in Bac Me, there is an optional walk to the nereby Tay ethnic minority group’s village on the outskirts of the town learn the daily life of the local people and take photos. Dinner and over night in Bac Me.
Day 4: Bac Me – Cao Bang (B, L, D)
A morning drive will take you through three exotic passes en-route with spectacular scenery of mountains, forests drifting outside that windscreen. You’ll stop for lunch in a small town that you encounter en route. Arrive in Cao Bang City late in the afternoo. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Cao Bang.
Day 5: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you’ll visit the Ban Gioc Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border, 85km from Cao Bang, passing through attractive scenery en-route. Ban Gioc is one of the largest and possibly the most impressive waterfalls in Vietnam. It’s possible to swim
in the cool waters below the falls or simply enjoy the pleasant surroundings and views across to China on the opposite side of the river. After a picnic lunch, you’ll pay a visit Nguom Ngao, one of the largest caves in the area. It has many fascinating shapes and formations of stalactites and stalacmites. From there, you’ll head back to Cao Bang, back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.Day 6: Cao Bang – Lang Son – Hanoi (B, L, D)
Start to drive back to Hanoi in the morning via Lang Son. There will be a stop en-route to explore a local market in the city centre Lang Sonand wander around to see this border city. Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Lang Son. After lunch, go on heading back to Hanoi via respectively Bac Giang and Bac Ninh. Arrive in Hanoi after 2 hours and a half driving.
