Short Trek 4 Days 4 Nights Sapa.

On this trip, you will discover Muong Hoa valley, which is the residence of four typical ethnic groups in Sapa: Thew Mong, Day, Tay, and Dao. During the trek, enjoy the landscape and learn about local daily life in the wooden stilt-house villages. This is a wonderful trekking tour along 35 km during 3 days 2 nights. There is also flexibility to cater for beginners to experienced trekkers.

Itinerary indetails:

The night before: Picked up at your hotel in Hanoi at 8.00 for the night train leaving at 9.45. Overnight on train in a soft sleeper cabin with A/C.

Day 1: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D)

Trekking Distance: 15 km
Picked up at Lao Cai Train Station early in the morning, transferred to Sapa. Check in at hotel in Sapa for refreshment then start to trek at 10.00 AM. We make our way downhill crossing Muong Hoa River’s banks and from the either side of the river, we climb up to the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai where unique cultural traditions still remain alive. After chatting with Lao Chai villagers, we move forward to Ta Van village to visit the Zay people – a fairly small minority group of about 38,000 people living mainly in the mountainous areas of Northwest Vietnam. Stop for lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Ta Van in a Dzay home.

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho (B, L, D)

Trekking Distance: 25 km
After breakfast, say goodbye to your Dzay hosts in Ta Van then leave for Red Dzao village of Giang Ta Chai where there is an exotic waterfall. The Red Dzao women usually wear very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. Their foreheads are clean shaved and covered with red scarves which are very unique. We make our way back crossing Muong Hoa River to reach Ban Ho of Tay ethnic group. Tay ethnic minority group is majority in the mountainous areas because of their high development in method of water rice cultivation and adaptation to modern society, some of them have started wearing more modern Vietnamese clothing. But most women still wear the traditional checkered headscarf. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Ban Ho in a house on stilt.

Day 3: Ban Ho – Sapa (B, L)

Day 4: Hanoi Arrival
After breakfast we trek up to Ban Den (3 km). You will be picked up and transferred back to Sapa by jeep. In the afternoon you will have time to experience the colorful Sapa markets, where women from different ethnic minority groups come into town to sell their products. Have lunch then free at your leisure till transferred back to Lao Cai Station for nigh train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train, soft sleeper cabin with A/C.
